Bert (Hinky) Newbound (twin) and his lovely wife Olive travelled from Melbourne, VIC with one of their daughters, Jane and their niece Gail Antonie (nee Newbound, daughter of Lance Ivan Newbound) to help Clarrie celebrate his big day. I loved finally meeting Jane who was one of the organisers of this gathering. We hope to collect a contact list of all the Newbounds so when the next gathering comes up in about 2 years (suggested at the gathering) that we can contact everyone. Whitepages lists 53 Newbounds but we know there are many more descendants of our infamous Roger John Newbound who arrived in the colony in early 1837 courtesy of the British penal system. More about him later!
